Frances Hamilton has worked in narrative books and collage in Boston for many years. Recent series are focussed on specific experiences at Squam Lake and Gloucester, MA. These oil paintings done on site in familiar settings are frequently pieced together as diptychs and invoke memories of family gatherings. Hamilton’s work can be seen at the Patricia Carega Gallery in Center Sandwich, NH and at the Clark Gallery in Lincoln, MA. She is currently working on a series at an organic herb farm in South Dartmouth, MA.
